Who we are

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them. We are a community of change-makers committed to lifting the most vulnerable through compassion, action, and grassroots leadership. We believe that every helping hand can uplift a family, empower a village, and shape a brighter future for generations to come.

We began by reaching out to vulnerable children and youth in rural communities — those eager to learn, work, and rise above their circumstances. As we went deeper, we discovered just how many were in desperate need of food, shelter, education, and hope.

This realization became a call to action. What started as a few hands soon became a movement. Our team grew, our reach expanded, and our mission strengthened. Today, we are present in hundreds of communities across Imo State, ensuring that no child, no youth, and no family is left behind.

Through compassion, structure, and grassroots leadership, we continue to spread across regions  touching lives, restoring dignity, and building futures one village at a time.

Whether it’s a word of encouragement, urgent financial support, access to education, vocational training, or simply the reassurance that they are not forgotten , we are committed to meeting people right where they are. Our goal is to respond quickly, with compassion and purpose, ensuring that every individual receives the support they truly need to rise

Our Vision
At IMO Hope for Good Governance, our mission is to improve the living standards of people in rural communities. We are dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poorest of the poor by attracting resources, support, and opportunities to uplift lives. We stand as a strong mediator between the vulnerable and those who can help connecting the underserved with donors, leaders, and stakeholders who can bring lasting change to their lives.

Our entire team envisions a world where every struggling youth  no matter their background  feels seen, supported, and empowered to reach out for help. We are driven by the belief that access to education, meaningful work, and a hopeful future should never be out of reach. That’s why we are expanding into every region possible  to ensure that support is never far away, and no one is left behind.

About The Founder

Hon. Christian Okechukwu Mbarie

is the founder of IMO Hope for Good Governance. A passionate humanitarian, he is deeply committed to improving the lives of the less privileged and ensuring that the voices of rural communities are heard.

With an unwavering zeal for humanitarian service, Hon. Mbarie established this organization as a platform to bridge the gap between the people and the government, and to bring direct support to those most in need.

He currently serves as the Local Government Chairman of Orlu LGA, where he continues to champion grassroots development and people focused leadership.
